Every time we look at the sky at night, we are catching a glimpse of the past. It's a myth that we see dead stars in the night sky HOWEVER each time we see the stars we see them as they were and not as they are...like a photograph from the universe.

Immortal when you're 100 years old looking back on the day you and your favorite person decided to spend forever together.
Immortal when a loved one passes, their existence is incapsulated in an image.
Immortal when moments become memories and we are given back to the earth... in an image those who loved us can see our smile again and reminisce on the sensation of our touch.

If photography is a reflection of life and of love, why should we pretend that it's always perfectly lit + in focus? The imperfect is realistic and beautiful. The imperfect is what makes photos look the way we feel.
The belief that your photos have to fall in line with some sort of equation to be any good, just bugs the heck out of me. Your story is uniquely yours. It is your narrative that's in the spotlight, not anyone else's.
Sometimes when you bend certain rules, you get something way more unique, special, and true to you. That is my goal for telling your love story.
